At Tarantella Drama - we aim to build self confidence whilst having fun!
TARANTELLA DRAMA offer weekly kid’s Drama classes, Summer, Halloween, Christmas and Easter camps to inspire and engage children of all ages. We run creative drama sessions with groups and in schools, as well as offering one to one sessions with both children and adults.
We strongly believe in the benefits of these creative sessions. We aim to build self confidence whilst having fun. By using movement, storytelling, drama games, improvisation and conversation, our children’s classes encourage concentration, cooperation, creativity, vocabulary, negotiation and self confidence. Above all, in our classes we aim to celebrate each individual and to have fun - making the learning all the more enjoyable! We believe its important to make time to bring balance into childrens ever more technical lives by encouraging them to explore the magic of their own imaginations!
In our school sessions, we create bespoke workshops to address different issues the children may be encountering or that the school tream feel are important and we explore them in a creative, safe and supportive way. Issues such as bullying, cultural or physical differences or a change in family life are all common themes. Children are encouraged to make choices and to take responsibility while increasing their empathy and social skills. We can also explore a text or play the students are studying in class or have on the curriculum. By using drama skills, we can compliment the class work and help them develop a better understanding and appreciation for a piece of work.
